About Us
We are just a group of girls from all over the world that want to have fun (underwater)! It's tough to be a chick in this male-dominated sport, so we decided to band together to have a bigger voice in the world of spearfishing. There are many male spearfishing clubs (and we love them!) but it was time to create our own in which women can feel welcome and encouraged to participate in spearfishing events.

Mission Statement
The goal of Women’s Spearfishing Alliance is to promote women’s participation in the sport of spearfishing; facilitate an open, welcoming environment in which women can become more involved in a comfortable manner; and to support organizations and charities that support i) girls’ education, ii) ocean conservation, and iii) women’s unification and participation in male-dominated activities (i.e., spearfishing).
WSA is formed primarily as a means for club members to feel welcome and comfortable in the spearfishing community, form friendships with other divers and spearfisherwomen. Specifically, the club seeks persons who interact well with others and enjoy diving, spearfishing, and dive related activities.
